Opened in 1938 and recognized for its distinctive Art Deco character, the theatre once welcomed generations of families, students, neighbors, and visitors into the heart of downtown Charleston. Today, it stands ready for a new chapter—and that future depends on people who believe historic places can still serve living communities.
